Our hair has always been a big deal especially if you’re a woman. It tells the kind of personality you have, depending on the style you choose to have. But with the ever-evolving hairstyle, how do we make sure that our hair can also keep up? Here are some of the best natural masks for your hair, minus all the unnecessary harmful chemicals.

Coconut Milk

This one is really easy and effective. Just refrigerate the coconut milk, wait for it to harden, and then apply it on your hair, from the roots to the tips. However if your hair tends to become really oily, it’s best to avoid the scalp area and focus on the rest of your hair. Don’t forget to cover your hair with a shower cap and wait for about 15-20 minutes before rinsing the mask out. No need to shampoo your hair, just let the coconut do its job.

Banana

Mix mashed banana with a few drops of almond oil and massage onto your hair. Allow this to set for about 15 minutes before washing your hair.

Mayonnaise

This ingredient is not only for your sandwiches, it is also wonderful to use on your hair to keep it healthy and full of volume. Mix it with your favourite essential oil and apply to every inch of your hair. Wait for at least 15 minutes before rinsing your hair out with your favourite shampoo.

Avocado

Mix this fruit with different types of oil like jojoba, olive, coconut, or wheat germ oil.  Make sure your roots get enough of this puree, wait for about 20 minutes before rinsing it out with cold water.

Aloe Vera

It has always been known that aloe vera does wonders for your hair. Just mix about 4-5 tablespoons of aloe vera to 2-3 tablespoons of egg yolk and 3-4 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix them all up and apply your hair. For best results, let it soak in your hair overnight, then rinse with mild shampoo. Try this for a week to achieve your desired result.

Honey

This one can use some variations. You can mix honey with olive oil and massage onto your damp hair, letting it sit for about 20 minutes before rinsing it out with warm water. You can also mix honey with extra virgin olive oil, an egg, a banana, and whole milk. Wait for about 15-30 minutes before rinsing it with mild shampoo.

Strawberry

Just mix this Vitamin C-rich fruit with some coconut oil and honey. Apply to your damp hair before rinsing with warm water.

So there you have it - the 7 natural hair masks you can choose to achieve that desired beautiful and healthy look of your hair. Use any that is readily available at home. Use it consistently and coupled with healthy diet and regular visit to your hairstylist, you will be amazed by the results!
